Aims & Scope

The Electronic Journal for Research in Science & Mathematics Education is a peer reviewed journal published by the International Consortium for Research in Science & Mathematics Education (ICRSME). EJRSME publishes manuscripts relating to issues in science/mathematics education and science/mathematics teacher education from early childhood through the university level including informal science and environmental education. EJRSME reviews original science and mathematics education manuscripts that report meaningful research, present research methodology, develop theory, and explore new perspectives and teaching strategies.

Review of Submissions

All submissions to EJRSME undergo an initial editorial review of all submissions. Submissions that do not adhere to the author guidelines, are outside of the scope of the journal, or do not meet the standards of the journal will be returned to the author without further review. Submissions that pass initial editorial review will be sent to a minimum of two peer reviewers.

Peer Review

EJRSME employs a double-blind peer review model (the identities of the author(s) and reviewer(s) are not revealed to one another). The core group of peer reviewers are members of the the EJRSME editorial review board. However, submissions may also be reviewed by individuals outside of the review board.

If you are interested in becoming a reviewer for the journal, you can apply using this form. You will be asked to provide a summary of your publishing and reviewing experience as well as your areas of expertise.

Journal Costs and Fees

EJRSME does not charge any fees to authors, either at the time of submission or publication. There are no article processing charges.

Open Access Policy

EJRSME maintains free access to all journal content in order to promote the worldwide dissemination of knowledge. Authors whose works are accepted by EJRSME maintain the copyright ownership of their work, but grant the license to publish their work to the publisher (the International Consortium for Research in Science & Mathematics Education).
